Good morning! Thanks for the great recipe! I was looking forward to seeing recipes on this blog! I do have a question for you… does the market have any extended hours this week? If so, could you please post the extended hours? I was hoping to come out this week, but I don’t know if I can make it today.

Unfortunately this is not a response to your blog, but more of a compliemnt to a particular stand in the Lancaster Central Market. We recently hired Yasou! to put together variety boxes of Greek Pastries for our corporate holiday gifts. The response to these gifts was wonderful, as the gifts were not only unique but had the perfect personal touch!

The taste of the pastries was supurb, as were all baked fresh. The overall appearance was delighful. Each white box (large and small) was adorned with a beautiful handmade golden bow. Upon opening the box we were delighted to find a menu and description paper and visually stunning pastries each in their individual wraper. A lot of dedication went into these gift boxes.

It was a pleasure to do business with Vasso, the owner, as she was always cheerful and happy to work with our ideas. We wanted a particular look for the gift boxes and she was open to hearing our ideas and collaborate with us to come up with the perfect finished product. It is evident she is passionate about her work and of course her pastries. We were more than pleased.

I would recommend Yasou! to anyone looking to deliver a gift with a personal touch…or for anyone who simply loves great Greek Pastry.

Absolutely! You can purchase them from the PA Dutch Gifts stand (ask for Ron Peters) or if you live out of the area, you can email your request to info@centralmarketlancaster.com. Gift certificates are available in any amount and make the perfect gift for friends, family or co-workers.

I agree, all of those would be interesting. I would love to learn more about the food stands that are using organic practices but are just not certified due to costs. This info. would really promote more business to the local stands. thanks
