Blue Bandana Pet Bakery
The folks who own and operate Blue Bandana Pet Bakery have the biggest hearts in town. Blue Bandana is a stand set up to deliver treats for your pets, sweets for your kids, and dollars to The Janus School, an independent day school in Mt. Joy geared to helping kids with Learning Disabilities reach their full potential (http://www.thejanusschool.org/ ).
Envisioned, owned, and built by Rob Liss, the stand started out selling all natural gourmet dog treats in 2006. They now sell Gourmet Dog and Cat treats, pet accessories, toys, and a super strong organic cat nip. They also sell magnificent Belgian chocolates, locally made Asher's Chocolate, and “grab 'n go” candy bags. For a real, unique treat ask for the locally made “clear toy lollipops” from CTC Candy Company located on Pine street in the west end. (http://www.ctclollipop.com/ ).
From the beginning, Sharon Gring has helped Rob run the stand and more often than you'll find her behind the stand. She's charming to talk with and loves her customers almost as much as her 2 horses and yellow lab named Bailey, who may just have as much energy as Sharon.
A good thing to know is that their pet treats are all-natural and preservative-free. They also carry wheat-free treats for dogs with wheat allergies.
