Wendy Jo Hess

Wendy Jo's Homemade was born six years ago after the owner, Wendy Jo Hess, graduated from college. Not being quite sure what career she was meant to pursue, she launched into this market endeavor with no formal training and only a strong love of baking. She found a bakery to rent, bid on a stand at Central Market, and began working longer hours than she ever did while growing up on her parent's dairy farm!

In love with the fact that she is working in the same building that her mother and both Grandmothers worked in so many years ago, Wendy Jo Hess has a deep attachment to Market! While their businesses couldn't be more different (they sold produce and eggs from their farms), she takes pride in the fact that she can share in a family tradition of selling her products in the beautiful and historic building that is Central Market.
